Meet Dr. Teresa Donovan
Dr. Teresa Donovan, ND has been a Licensed Naturopathic Doctor in Nova Scotia since 2007. She achieved her prerequisite undergraduate degree in 2001 from St. Francis Xavier University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Nutrition.
After her undergraduate degree, Dr. Donovan completed an International Development and Youth Leadership Program at the Coady International Institute, including a 6-month work placement in Kenya, where she developed the foundation for a nutritional program for HIV patients and practitioners which progressed into a national reaching program in Kenya.
She then continued her studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, one of only two accredited naturopathic schools in Canada, to receive her degree in Naturopathic Medicine in 2006. Dr. Donovan is licensed with College of Naturopathic Doctors Alberta (CNDA) and is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and is a member and current president of the Nova Scotia Naturopathic Association (NSAND).
With over 15 years in practice, Dr. Donovan has achieved advanced training IV (International Nutritional IV Therapy Global Physician Education), the Canadian Therapeutics and Prescribing Course for Naturopathic Doctors, as well as courses and training in prolotherapy, fertility, women’s health, methylation & epigenetics, mold illnesses, SIBO and digestive disorders, and Lyme disease & co-infections.
In her free time, Dr. Donovan enjoys family time with her husband and daughter, keeping an active lifestyle through fitness and healthy eating, and enjoying time with their dogs, cats, and horses as you can often find her with her daughter at the stables.
